About Us
Who we are …
The Original Root Zen Center is a democratic, engaged community dedicated to actively bring great love, great compassion, and helping energy to wherever suffering appears. Meditation practice is the vehicle we have chosen to attain our true nature and see the world as it is.
ORZC was born in a blended, melting pot culture in the heartland of America. In a distinct reflection of our roots we are not concerned with the “purity” of a Buddhist lineage. However, we are committed to a systematic spiritual path that supports all members of the ORZC community.
Practice
Meditation, chanting, walking, gardening, creating art, cooking, bowling and cheering for the Racine Raiders are among the many practices at ORZC. For a schedule of practice times, click here. For a calendar of events, click here.
